Throughout the years I’ve gotten angry at my parents for a variety of reasons. For the most part it’s been run of the mill pissiness, – like hating my dad junior year of high school for not letting me borrow his car to drive a few states over for a concert, or blaming my mom for waiting until after she was 30 to have me, thus assuring that we will never be like the Gilmore Girls. But one complaint I had, that for years trumped all the others, was that my parents aren’t famous and therefore denied me a life that is surely better than my current one.
