During her time at Northwestern, Meghan Small has been rewarded more often for her academics than for her play on the field.
On Wednesday recognition for her field hockey play finally came, when Small was of 38 players in NCAA Division I named to the NFHCA Senior All-Star team.
The game is played at Wake Forest University this year, the day before the NCAA championship final, Nov. 18.
“I’ve competed in the past with some of the national team players and the coaches at events,” Small said. “This year I’ve been able to take every game as it comes and play as hard as I can.”
