Welcome back. Hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, New Year, Winter Solstice and Rose Bowl.
At the Forum page, we’re back and eager to keep the marketplace of ideas humming. As always, we’ll have our five weekly columnists (you can read all about them below) and editorials on Mondays and Thursdays. Both our editorial board and our columnists will try to present fresh commentary on important issues (“try” is the operative word) and look forward to hearing your reactions. Columnists will have their e-mail addresses listed below each column, and you can vent your anger at anyone on The Daily by dropping a line to [email protected].
As for letters: Be smart, be fresh and be brief. Letters should be 300 words or fewer. We reserve the right to edit for length, content and clarity. Don’t ramble on or use too many four-letter words and you should be fine. If 300 words ain’t enough, throw together a guest column of about 550 words and we’ll try to run it on Tuesdays or Fridays.
Here’s to a great quarter and good debate.
