Two teens sustain non-fatal injuries in shooting near ETHS

Two teenagers were shot Monday evening about a block from Evanston Township High School, resulting in non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The two male Evanston residents, 16 and 18, were shot in the 1900 block of Emerson Street just before 7:30 p.m. One was shot in the hand and the thigh, and the other was shot in the arm. They were transported to Evanston Hospital for treatment.
As of about 9 p.m. Monday, no suspects had been taken into custody.
This is the third shooting in Evanston this month. On July 7, two Evanston residents sustained non-life threatening injuries in separate shootings.
