Laptop, iPod stolen from home
An unknown burglar stole more than $1,000 worth of electronics from an Evanston residence Thursday.
A resident in the 1600 block of Davis Street reported the theft of a Sony laptop and an iPod classic, Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. A window on the east side of the house was pried open.
Burglar steals $1,000 in tools
An Evanston resident reported the theft of more than $2,000 worth of personal possessions in a burglary Thursday.
The resident, while away from Evanston, heard from a friend that the back door of her apartment in the 300 block of Callan Avenue was forced open, Parrott said. The resident reported losing $1,000 worth of tools, a microwave, a steam cleaner, a bicycle and some jewelry.
