Best Vegetarian: Blind Faith Cafe
February 23, 2023
Whether searching for a fresh twist on vegetarian food, a cozy coffee spot or a delicious baked good, Blind Faith Cafe has you covered. There’s no need to worry about eating a plain house salad or bland tofu substitute at this Evanston eatery.
Located on the Main-Dempster Mile, the restaurant fully embraces vegetarian cuisine, with options ranging from a shiitake walnut version of meatloaf to Enchiladas Verdes filled with vegetables.
Blind Faith’s exterior is welcoming and decorated with dangling, twinkling lights. The dining room is bustling on weekend nights, filled with students and residents alike looking for a delightful vegetarian fix. On warm days, customers can dine outside at tables lining the sidewalk.
There’s no doubt Blind Faith makes a delicious dinner. The restaurant puts its own spin on fan favorites like fajitas, bibimbap and lasagna. But beyond meal time, I’d highly recommend the restaurant for a cup of coffee, a pastry or a smoothie. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends on weekday afternoons over a great treat — whether it be a vegan chocolate cupcake or a latte with oat milk.
