Head coach Pat Fitzgerald isn’t going anywhere, and he capped a program-changing season with a 31-20 Holiday Bowl win over Utah on Dec. 31 in San Diego. Senior quarterback Clayton Thorson threw for 241 yards in his last game with the Wildcats, and Northwestern outscored the Utes 28-0 in the third quarter.
