Evanston celebrates Memorial Day

The American Legion Post 42 held a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday to honor fallen American soldiers. More than 50 veterans and civilians gathered in the plaza at the intersection of Sherman Avenue and Davis Street for the annual event. Several speakers, including Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl, spoke at the ceremony, and students from the Rickover Naval Academy performed the presentation of colors.
