Weinberg’s Middle East and North African studies program hosted a demonstration of Dabke on last Monday. The occasion was part of the MENA Monday series of events organized by the department, which includes quarterly cultural events. The dance is traditional in the Levantine region and is widely performed in celebrations such as weddings. Weinberg junior Serene Darwish, together with her sister Nadine, led the dancing demonstration.
