Evanston residents, artists and activists kicked off the Year of Kindness and Nonviolent Action, a series of free art programs focused on inclusivity and equity at the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center this Sunday. The workshop featured speeches, storytelling and poetry encouraging social justice dialogue and a collaborative art project designed to build connections between residents.
