Evanston Police Department officers responded to a report of a theft in the 1800 block of Lemar Ave. in northwest Evanston on Tuesday evening.

A 49-year-old Evanston resident told officers a FedEx package containing two six-can packs of MHP Power Pak Pudding was delivered to her house, and removed from her front porch sometime on Tuesday afternoon, said Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew.

The cans were worth around $45 total, Glew added.

Second car defaced on Foster St.

EPD officers responded to a report of slashed tires in the 1400 block of Foster St. in north Evanston on Monday morning.

A 64-year-old Evanston resident told officers she came outside to her car Monday to see the front two tires flat. Upon further investigation, officers found all four tires punctured, both side mirrors missing and granulated sugar in the gas tank, Glew said.

The woman is the mother of another Evanston resident whose car was defaced the same day, Glew said.

The daughter didn’t know who slashed the tires, but told officers an “ex-boyfriend might have been upset due to a recent breakup,” Glew added.
