Evanston Police Department officers responded to a theft report at 1519 Wilder St. in west Evanston on Thursday morning.

The theft took place between Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Thursday at 6 a.m., and police were alerted when they received a call from a 44-year-old Evanston resident at 7 a.m. on Thursday, who reported a bike was missing.

Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said one Trek Antelope bicycle valued at around $200 was stolen from the man’s backyard.

Gunshot reported at Callan and Mulford

EPD responded to reports of gunshots at the corner of Callan Avenue and Mulford Street in south Evanston at 1 a.m. on Thursday.

Officers checked the area, but no one with a gun was found, nor were there any signs of gun damage, Glew said.
