Sexual assault report at Ryan Field made to University Police, referred to EPD

A report of two instances of sexual assault involving a minor was referred to Evanston police for an investigation.

The report was made Sept. 17 to University Police, who referred it to EPD. The alleged incidents occurred at Ryan Field on Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m., according to the University’s police blotter. A Northwestern spokesperson referred comment to the Evanston Police Department.

Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew declined to offer specifics, saying only that the case involved a juvenile and that there exists no threat to the public.

Northwestern football played Akron at Ryan Field on Sept. 15. The game began at 6:30 p.m. and concluded shortly after 10 p.m.
