A 52-year-old man reported items were stolen from his car in south Evanston between 10:45 p.m. on Sunday and 10:15 a.m. on Monday.

The man, a resident of La Grange Highlands, Illinois, left his vehicle unlocked on the fifth floor of a parking garage in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue on Sunday, Evanston police Cmdr. Ryan Glew said. When he returned to the garage Monday morning, his car had been ransacked and belongings from the vehicle were on the ground.

A $20 phone charger and miscellaneous items valued at $14 were stolen. No suspects have been identified, Glew said.
