A man from La Porte, Indiana, was arrested Monday night in south Evanston in connection with a DUI after striking three parked vehicles with his car, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said.

The 70-year-old man ran into the three cars in the 500 block on South Boulevard and drove away, but police found him nearby, Dugan said. The man had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and was arrested after several field sobriety tests.

He was charged with three misdemeanors for leaving the scene of an accident and three citations for driving too fast for conditions in addition to the DUI, Dugan said.
