The bag contained $617.83 worth of merchandise.

Man arrested in connection with domestic battery

A 42-year-old Evanston resident was arrested in connection with domestic battery on Sunday in south Evanston.

The man asked his roommate for the roommate’s prescription pills, Dugan said, but his roommate would not hand them over.

The man became aggressive, pushing the roommate down and striking him in the face six or seven times, causing a cut on his forehead and a swollen eye, Dugan said. The man then pulled out a pocket knife and threatened the victim.

The roommate was treated by the Evanston Fire Department, and the man was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
