Blotter: Meat stolen from Food 4 Less

Store employees reported meat stolen from Food 4 Less, 2400 West Main St., on Wednesday morning.

The manager of the Evanston Food 4 Less reported that a man wearing all black stole an unknown amount of meat, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said. Dugan said the man put the meat in his jacket, got on a white bike and fled northbound.

Two bikes stolen from rack in downtown Evanston

Two bikes were stolen in separate incidents Tuesday in downtown Evanston.

Both bikes were stolen from the bike rack on Church Street and Benson Avenue, Dugan said. One of the bikes was a Trek Bike worth $80, and the other was a Zinn bike worth $7,000.
