Officers arrested a man in connection with a verbal dispute on Thursday in west Evanston.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of Dodge Avenue around 10:45 a.m. to respond to a reported verbal dispute between a 30-year-old Evanston resident and her child’s father over the use of a vehicle.
The woman put the 2-month-old child in the car and was attempting to back out of the driveway when the man threw a brick at the front passenger side window, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said. The window broke as a result.
Officers arrested the man at the scene, and he was charged with criminal damage to property, aggravated assault and child endangerment — all misdemeanors.
