Evanston police arrested a man Saturday in connection with a criminal sexual assault incident at a spa earlier in the week.

A 20-year-old woman was getting a massage from massage therapist Kai Wang at Art of Health at 1638 Orrington Avenue at 5:20 p.m. last Thursday when she told her massage therapist she felt uncomfortable with the way he was touching her, Evanston Police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said.

Wang then allegedly reached under the towel, inappropriately touching the woman in the breast and vaginal area, Dugan said. The woman, who had been to the spa before, told the massage therapist she had to leave after feeling uncomfortable. Then Wang allegedly wrapped his arms around her, but the woman was able to escape the situation, Dugan said.

The woman reported the incident later that day. After reviewing the case, the Cook County State’s Attorney approved two felony counts of sexual abuse and two felony counts of sexual assault.
