Northwestern students report apartment break-in
February 2, 2016
A man broke into a home in the 600 block of Clark Street early Tuesday morning and threatened two Northwestern students, according to an alert released by the University.
The man broke a window in the rear door to gain entrance to the apartment at approximately 2 a.m. He told the residents he had a weapon but they did not see one, the alert said.
The man — described as wearing dark clothing and a hat — took two laptops, two wallets and a book bag, the alert said.
Both Evanston and University police searched the area but did not find the man, the alert said.
