Looking good, feeling gorgeous

Yes, the title to this post is the name of a RuPaul song. And yes, I would recommend listening to RuPaul while getting ready every day. He is an inspiration to all.

As much as I would like to write an entire post about RuPaul, this isn’t that post. This is about feeling gorgeous when you don’t. This is about turning “ugly” days into “I’m a model walking down the street, try to tell me I’m not” days.

Trick One: Peplum and Flow

If you wake up feeling heavy and sluggish, lighten up your attitude and appearance with a peplum or flowy shirt. Peplum is the most beautiful, slimming invention known to womankind. Peplum tops are always super sweet, so you feel girly and pretty, and they have an added layer of flouncy fabric around the waist to make you look and feel thinner. Another alternative to this is a flowy tank. You don’t have to worry about sucking in all day, and you get to feel confident about your look.

Trick Two: Black

Black is slimming. Not only will black jeans make you look taller and leaner, but you’ll also kind of feel like a secret agent, and that’s awesome.

Trick Three: Fresh Face

If you’re feeling ugly, don’t pile on the makeup. Give yourself a fresh-faced look with a bit of blush, a muted smoky eye and a pale lip. You won’t feel bogged down by makeup, and it’ll look like your gorgeous face is 100 percent natural.

Trick Four: Dress Up

If you wake up and you’re just not feeling the day in general, pamper yourself. Paint your nails, moisturize, wear your favorite underwear, and throw on your favorite dress. You’ll look put together even if you did it in five minutes, and you’ll feel like a princess.

Remember: You’re beautiful no matter what you do. Even when you feel like it’s an “ugly” day: “You’re looking good and feeling gorgeous.”
