Evanston police are investigating a 26-year-old woman’s report that an on-duty firefighter was involved in an unwanted sexual act with her early Saturday morning.
Evanston Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said the incident reportedly happened shortly after midnight at Station 1, 1332 Emerson St.
The woman and firefighter met through a dating website, Parrott said.
Police are not naming the firefighter while they investigate. The firefighter has been placed on paid administrative leave, Parrott said.
Evanston Fire Chief Greg Klaiber said this morning he has no comment on the investigation.
