Cash missing from elderly Evanston woman’s home
Someone may have stolen $700 from a 78-year-old Evanston woman last week, Evanston Police said.
The woman said the cash went missing from a bedroom cabinet at her home in the 1000 block of Emerson Street sometime between Friday and Sunday, Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. Detectives are investigating the case.
ETHS student arrested with alleged pot brownies
Police on Saturday morning charged an Evanston Township High School student with cannabis possession.
The 18-year-old man allegedly took six brownies containing an estimated four grams of marijuana to the school at 1600 Dodge Ave., Parrott said. The student is scheduled to appear in court May 13.
