Northwestern fans gathered at Jacksonville Landing in Jacksonville, Fla., on Monday for a pep rally in advance of Tuesday’s Gator Bowl, where the Wildcats knocked off Mississippi State 34-20. The Northwestern University Marching Band and NU cheerleaders got fans who had made the journey to Florida fired up for Tuesday’s game.

Also in attendance were University President Morton Schapiro and athletic director Jim Phillips, who joked that his New Year’s resolution was to ask everyone in attendance at the pep rally for donations to support the University’s new $220 million athletic complex.
