Evanston Police recover cannabis, arrest Skokie man

The Evanston Police Department’s special operations group recovered about 65 grams of cannabis and arrested a 22-year-old man while carrying out a search warrant in Skokie on Monday.

After an investigation targeting illegal drug sales in Evanston and Skokie, police obtained a search warrant that was executed at 6:50 a.m. Monday in the 4800 block of West Greenleaf Avenue, according to a news release.

Police arrested Skokie resident Donte Kennedy and charged him with two felony counts of unlawful possession of cannabis, one with the intent to deliver.

Kennedy is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 13.
