The subject was arrested, taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and resisting a police officer. The subject’s court date is set for Oct. 31, Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.

A 25-year-old Evanston resident found her apartment in the 1100 block of Ashland Avenue broken into Monday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

An unlocked rear window of her residence is the suspected point of entry of the burglar, who remains unknown. Items taken include a laptop computer, a flat screen TV and a digital camera, Parrott said.
