Burglar allegedly steals car stereos
An Evanston resident reported that his garage was burglarized Monday.
The resident claimed someone forced entry to his garage in the 1400 block of Fowler Avenue, said Evanston Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Jay Parrott. The burglar apparently stole car stereos, a power saw, a power compressor and chrome rims valued at more than $2,500.
Thief takes heaters worth $10,000
An Evanston business reported theft of aluminum heaters Monday.
The thief allegedly stole 10 casts of aluminum heaters from Spartech Plastics, 2020 Greenwood St., Parrott said. Each heater was valued at $1,000. There were no signs of forced entry, Parrott said.
