Burglar seen carrying TV across yard
Two Evanston residents reported a burglary Monday.
The residents saw a burglar carrying a TV in the yard of their house in the 2000 block of Wesley Avenue when they returned home from a walk, Evanston Police Department spokesman Cmdr. Jay Parrott said.
The burglar ran and the residents lost sight of him. The residents reported missing two 19-inch TVs and two iMac laptops. The burglar also pried open the rear door and broke a basement window.
Thief steals iPhone at gym
An Evanston resident Tuesday reported his black iPhone removed from his bag when he exercised at Ultimate Fitness, 823 Emerson St., Parrott said, adding thefts were uncommon at the club.
