Intoxicated man arrested at hospital

Police arrested a Chicago man in connection with domestic battery Tuesday morning at St. Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Ave.

Staff reported the intoxicated patient damaging an oxygen flow meter, said Perry Polinski, the Evanston Police Department’s communications coordinator. While running a background check, police found a warrant on the 21-year-old man in connection with domestic battery issued by Kane County.

Vandal unplugs ice cream machines

Police found damage to the front door of a building in the 1700 block of Sheridan Road on Monday afternoon, Polinski said. The vandal also unplugged the ice cream machines in the concession stand and melted the ice-cream.
