Event: Northwestern University Dance Marathon 2012
Where: Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Dr.
When: Friday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. through Sunday, March 4 at 1:00 a.m.
You’ve been hearing about it, you’ve been fundraising for it, and now it’s finally here: Dance Marathon 2012 has arrived! Participants will spend the entire weekend dancing for this year’s charity, the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation. If you aren’t a dancer, make sure to stop by and visit your friends!
Event: Dance Marathon Spa
Where: Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Dr.
When: Saturday, March 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Courtesy of Egea Spa, Dance Marathon will be hosting 8-minute massages in the Norris Center to help with fundraising. While dancers cannot participate, all others who wish to support DM can go get a relaxing massage for a good cause. Each session is $10. Registration for a time slot can be found at www.nudm.org/dmspa.

Experience Carl Orff’s powerful “Carmina Burana,” presented by the North Shore Choral Society. Student tickets are $15.

Event: Open Books’ Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration
Where: Open Books, 213 W. Institute Place.
When: Saturday, March 3, noon to 4 p.m.
Take your inner child to Open Books’ birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss. Between storytelling, readings and craft events, you can enjoy free face-painting and treats.
