Burglar takes $4,500 in computers
Someone stole three Dell laptop computers from a medical office suite in the 1000 block of University Place earlier this week, Evanston Police Department spokesman Jay Parrott said.
The burglary occurred sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Parrott said the crime was reported in the morning.
There were no signs of forced entry. The owner said the only people in the building at that time were the cleaning crew, but there are no suspects at this time, Parrott said.
Parrott said it was possible the doors could have been unlocked with a keycard, but it is not clear how the burglar entered the building.
The three laptops are valued at $4,500.
