Toy thefts reported at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Noble, 1630 Sherman Ave., reported two cases of toy theft Tuesday.

Staff observed a 5-foot-tall woman in a blue winter coat and jeans entering the restroom with $45 worth of toys at 1 p.m. Tuesday, police Cmdr. Jay Parrott said. The woman left the restroom half an hour later, and staff members found empty toy boxes in the washroom.

A similar incident occurred Jan. 13 when a woman stole $85 worth of toys from the store, including a crime scene investigation toy kit.

Police suspect the same person was involved in both incidents.
