Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations
In recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Northwestern offered many opportunities for students to reflect on his life and legacy. On Monday, Dr. Benjamin Carson and Tim King gave speeches on campus to NU students and staff, and students also celebrated with the annual day off from classes, savoring the long weekend.
NU Website Down?
Northwestern websites seemed to be malfunctioning Monday, putting students and staff at an inconvenience when trying to access information or their personal NU email accounts. However, before long, the server was up and running without much of an announcement. What a pity–Internet malfunctions are such a good excuse for late homework.
Kick-off of Dance Marathon fundraising
Fundraising for the upcoming Dance Marathon has officially started. This past weekend, students put their creative juices to good use, coming up with ideas from classic cookie sales to $5 laundry services, even selling their own iPods for the cause.
