Junior quarterback Dan Persa is out for the rest of the year due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, according to coach Pat Fitzgerald.
Persa was injured during the final touchdown in Saturday’s game against Iowa. He will enter surgery Saturday night, but Fitzgerald declined to say where Persa will be treated.
