City to sell vehicle stickers

The city of Evanston will begin selling 2011 vehicle stickers Monday. All vehicles registered to an Evanston address must pay an annual wheel tax and display a valid Evanston vehicle sticker.

Stickers, which cost $75 for a passenger car, can be purchased at the city’s Revenue Office, 2100 Ridge Ave., and online. The city offers two sticker designs to choose from.

Residents who do not display vehicle stickers on their cars can be ticketed $50 with a $20 additional penalty if the ticket is not paid within 10 days.
