Unknown vehicle scratches staff member’s Toyota Prius in parking lot of Ryan Field

An unknown vehicle scratched a Northwestern staff member’s car while it was parked at Ryan Field, 1501 Central St., on Thursday, police said.

The staff member parked his blue 2006 Toyota Prius about 100 feet from stadium Gate T at 8:15 a.m., University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer said. When he returned at 2:45 p.m., he found a two-inch long scratch on the door. There are no estimates of how much it will cost to repair the damage, McAleer said.

There are no leads.

Projector stolen from Norris, student thought room would be locked

Somebody took a projector a student left at Norris University Center, 1999 Campus Drive, on April 8, police said.

The student placed five projectors leased from AV Chicago in the 1851 Room on the second floor of Norris at 9 a.m., McAleer said. When she returned at 5 p.m. April 10, she realized a Panasonic projector was missing.

The student thought the room would be locked, McAleer said.

There are no leads.
