Laptop stolen from D65 elementary classroom
Someone stole a laptop from an unattended elementary school classroom Tuesday, police said.
A teacher from Oakton Elementary School, 436 Ridge Ave., discovered at 8 a.m. Wednesday that a laptop belonging to Evanston/Skokie School District 65 was missing, said Evanston Police Department Cmdr. Tom Guenther. The teacher said the MacBook, valued at $1,000, was taken between 3 and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, when the classroom was empty.
There are no leads.
