Monday, 3/29: What better way to start out the quarter than pregaming The Keg with Northwestern’s frattiest a cappella group? Except The Keg was quickly forgotten, and we all ended up passed out on one of our member’s couches. Tuesday, 3/30:No official drinking events, so I pregamed a friend’s birthday dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. Far too many wings later, I stumbled into a certain sorority to drink some (okay, a bottle of) wine before a cappella rehearsal. Really … interesting … decision. Wednesday, 3/31:Started out with some gimlets with my roomies before smoking a bit. Then off to a game night, where I almost died from carbon monoxide poisoning, ogled the hot firemen and neighbors who came to save us and then celebrated the fact I was still alive the only way one should … with shots!Thursday, 4/1:After a sober rehearsal (I’m still getting some odd looks from everyone), we all made for the Lakefill with tequila, beer and whiskey. After about 30 minutes, we decided it was too cold. So we traipsed down to Hinman and Davis to crash another group’s party and got some odd stares when one of our members passed out on the floor. “Don’t worry,” I reassured the hosts. “Happens every time.” Promises of marijuana lured me away, but after walking all the way back to campus and discovering there was no pot, I headed to BK. But as I got up to the register, I was asked to leave-immediately. Why? Because there was a bottle of tequila sticking out of my bag. Friday, 4/2:I headed over to some friends’ place to try their “ridiculously dank weed.” I doubted them. I was wrong. After very nearly running into my boss on the street, I headed back to Ravis, smoked some more with a good friend, picked up some vodka and headed to an acting class party. I left within 15 minutes. My reason? Too high to function.Saturday, 4/3:I got high with some friends and watched WALL-E, which is the most wonderful movie to watch high. As the credits rolled, I ran back to Davis for some homecoming partying, where I decided the best course of action was to drink whiskey straight out of the bottle. I managed to get a fourth of the way in before passing out on my bed. With my shoes on. Sunday, 4/4:After getting up, I headed over to my friend’s for some Easter wake-and-bake and a Jesus movie marathon. When he left for a meeting, I went home to do some reading. About 15 minutes in, my head landed facedown in my textbook. I think a night in is in order.
