Blotter: NU student suffers seizure after SPAC; Evanston home burglarized Wednesday

NU student suffers seizure after SPAC

A female Northwestern student had a seizure Tuesday evening, police said.

The student had just returned to her room in Sargent Hall, 2245 Sheridan Rd., after working out at Sports Pavilion and Aquatics Center, 2311 Campus Dr., said University Police Deputy Chief Dan McAleer.

The student reported feeling dizzy, most likely because of dehydration, police said.

Evanston Fire Department officials treated the victim on the scene, and offered to transport her to a hospital for further treatment, McAleer said. The student, however, signed a waiver declining any further treatment, he said.

Evanston home burglarized Wednesday

An Evanston resident returned home to find his house had been broken into and burglarized early Wednesday evening, police said.

The resident returned home at 5 p.m. to his residence on the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue and found that someone had forced their way in through the back door, said Evanston Police Cmdr. Tom Guenther.

However, no suspects were found in the house when the resident arrived.

Police were immediately called to the scene where a stereo, Xbox gaming system and jewelry were discovered to be missing, police said.

Police are still investigating the incident.
