Harpo Productions coming to campus Friday

Updated April 29. 9:20 p.m.

Harpo Productions, Inc., will be on campus Friday to interview students about what they would do if they had one hour to change someone’s life.”

The event was announced at Associated Student Government Wednesday evening as a chance to be on a Chicago talk show. Helen Wood, director of Center for Student Involvement, declined to comment on what show, but hinted that it was not Jerry Springer.

The contact information on the flyer lists a number that goes to Harpo Productions, Inc., which produces Oprah.

Students will be able to record one-minute statements on their ideas for changing a life. Producers will be on campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Norris University Center’s Louis Room.

One may be chosen to “put their idea into action,” according to the flyer.
