Now that we’re halfway through the quarter, it’s midterm season. With many students facing four or more tests in the same week, the temptation to cheat can be strong. Last week, The Daily ran a story titled “Test banks’ pose ethical dilemma for some NU students.” We wanted to find out how prevalent other methods of securing a better grade were on campus so this week we asked 100 students in and around Norris whether or not they had ever cheated on an exam while at NU, not counting the use of test banks, we left it up to them to decide what counted as cheating. The numbers might be shocking if you consider yourself a by-the-book ethical student, but it turns out that they might be a bit lower than the national average according to published research.Yes: 61No: 39
