As things around here slowly started to warm up, the weather took a backseat to the Inauguration. Former President Bush flew out of Washington, D.C., and Michael Gsovski flew in, spending three days there to witness the fumbled swearing-in of our nation’s first non-white president. Gsovski filed a story for a special issue of The Daily (see yesterday’s paper) and compiled an extended version for this issue of The Weekly. For those of you that are done celebrating and looking for something else to do, Amalia Oulahan presents an insider’s guide to some museums downtown; Angie Jaime previews the largest student-produced musical in the country – The Dolphin Show – which opens tomorrow and runs through next weekend; and we present a round-up of some of the most popular blogs of NU students.Elsewhere in this issue, our second of the quarter, you can find Associate Professor David Bell’s list of the three most important musicals; an interview by Kate Bernot with our very own expert on Clint Eastwood and his Westerns, Professor Sara Vaux; and reviews of two new movies – Notorious and the much anticipated Mall Cop – along with NU alum Andrew Bird’s newest release.
