No. 15 Northwestern’s intrastate battle at Northern Illinois was cancelled Tuesday after the heavy rainfall battered NIU’s Mary M. Bell Field over the past few days. No make-up date has been announced.The Wildcats next face non-conference foe Loyola-Chicago Thursday at Sharon J. Drysdale Field in Evanston, before embarking on a six-game roadtrip at Ohio State, Illinois and Iowa.With four wins this past weekend, sophomore Lauren Delaney caught the eyes of the conference was named Big Ten pitcher of the week Monday. The award was Delaney’s fourth weekly honor in less than two seasons in Evanston. The sophomore logged 31 strikeouts in 20.2 innings over those four games, including her third no-hitter this season.
