A few months ago, my dad died. It came out of nowhere – I had just seen him a week before at a family get-together where he seemed perfectly healthy and the next thing I knew, I was at home getting endless calls from my friends and having to decide what to wear to the memorial service. To be blunt, it really sucked then and it still sucks now. If there’s a way to get over these things, I haven’t really figured it out yet.
