ASG Election Candidates Announced

ASG announced the five official candidates for four leadership positions late Friday, marking the start of a process that will culminate in campus-wide elections on April 10.

The two candidates for Associated Student Government president are Weinberg juniors Jonathan Webber and Julian Hill.

The remaining three positions are all one-candidate races.

Weinberg sophomores Matt Bogusz and Nate West are running for executive vice president and student services vice president, respectively.

McCormick junior Anna Xu, a candidate last year for academic vice president, is running again this year.

All the candidates currently serve in ASG in some capacity.

The deadline for Northwestern students to submit applications to appear on the ballot was Friday. Nominees met today to discuss the rules and guidelines of the election, said election commissioner and Weinberg junior Eric Parker in an e-mail.

Official campaign efforts can begin Monday.
