Dungeon of Doom Haunted House is celebrating its10 year anniversary, and boasts this will be its best year yet. Each October the Lake County Fairgrounds resurrects the ghouls and gory-costumed creatures to scare the pants off paying patrons. The theme is Internal Nightmare and includes “Ultimate Exorcist,” and “Extreme Asylum” areas.This haunted house is rumored to be one of the scariest in the area – the Web site is filled with enough blood and scary faces to give you nightmares before stepping foot on the actual venue. There’s even a disclaimer that crassly warns, “If you have high blood pressure, incontinence, cooties or any problems with being scared out of your tiny little mind,” this may not be for you. Jump the gun on Halloween partying and head to Logan Square Auditorium Saturday night for the Devil’s Night Ball 2. There will be giveaways, drink specials and other festive treats to pre-game Halloween two weeks early. Three bands, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Bella Morte and Fashion Bomb will perform throughout the night. Be sure to wear a crazy costume to the bash for the change to win a prize.
