Retiring ASG members consider future plans

At times during the past year, these students practically lived in Norris University Center. They worked and lounged in the third floor offices, attended dozens of meetings in conference rooms, lived off meals from Willie’s Food Court and left the building through a side door long after the main door was locked for the night.

These students worked for Associated Student Government. They worked up to 60 hours each week in Norris as they ran committees, addressed student group concerns and drafted legislation. Once their terms of office expire this spring, these students will have a lot of empty space in their schedules, and several of them aren’t sure what they’re going to do with it all.

“My advisers and colleagues are very worried that I’m going to fall into a great depression,” said ASG President Patrick Keenan-Devlin, whose yearlong term will end after April’s elections.

For the past few weeks, Keenan-Devlin said he has been spending about five to six hours each day
