Maybe all you economics majors already have heard this, but I once had a lecture that debunked the colloquial definition of development and the idea of the United States as the paragon of developed nations. It seems logical enough that, if we talk about development and under-development, the concept of over-development must exist as well. Nevertheless, it got me thinking.
