Extended police jurisdiction fails to accomplish its goal
Something is extremely wrong with Northwestern this year.
Three alerts have been issued regarding armed robberies on and near campus. It seems the priorities of the Police Department are grossly skewed: They claimed the purpose of extended jurisdiction is to ensure the safety of off-campus students. However, the only thing they seem to be doing off campus is breaking up parties and chasing underage drinkers.
It’s odd how with this extended jurisdiction we feel less safe than ever.
