The Northwestern fencing team unofficially started its campaign this weekend, competing in the annual Remenyik Open in Patten Gymnasium.
The tournament, which is not sanctioned by the NCAA, doesn’t count toward the team’s season record, but it allows the Wildcats to compete against top fencers from around the Midwest in individual competition.
